    Melaleuca Cottage is situated in the peaceful, leafy heart of Lota, just off the Southern Moreton Bay Tourist Drive. It is a cosy fisherman type cottage full of character. Melaleuca Environmental Park at the top of the hill has meandering walking trails, and maybe even a koala if you're lucky. On the block's far side lies Lota Mangrove Boardwalk, abundant in birdlife. A tree covered playground is at the end of the street, where you can also join the Moreton Bay cycleway, providing easy access to the foreshore and the busy marinas and cafe/restaurants in Manly.
