The Fire Station Inn is a unique two-storey building, which stands out prominently on the old High Street of Tynte St North Adelaide. It was built in 1866 originally as a shop but in 1904 it was converted by the metropolitan Fire Brigade Service to a fire station. It remained a fire station until its present conversion to luxury accommodation by Adelaide's "Mr. Heritage" Rodney Twiss. It is state heritage listed. The Fire Station Inn is very versatile, as it can be booked as one complete townhouse of four bedrooms with their own ensuite spa bathroom. Its location is superb, as it doors away from the cafe and restaurant street of O'Connell Street with its shopping and 7 day supermarket.
