Mallee Highway connecting Adelaide with Sydney and the Calder Highway

Hattah-Kulkyne and Murray Sunset National Parks. During the early 1900s, Ouyen began as a railway station on the Melbourne to Mildura line. The district was opened up for settlement in 1910. As a result, sheep grazing, wheat and oat harvesting began.
