Pop 630. (49km N Sydney) Small settlement on the southern banks of the Hawkesbury River. Home of many river boats and ferries and offers ideal mooring and a comprehensive supply depot for the majority of the waterways that formulate the region. Originally a small and isolated fishing village. The location of the signing of the original Federation Document, signed by officials on a vessel moored off Refuge Bay in 1901.
