Acts as the junction of the north shore and main northern rail lines. It's flanked by the forests of the Berowra Valley Bushland, which encompasses Galston Gorge and is a favourite place for bushwalking. Big 'old man' kangaroos might still be found here; they were once so prevalent that the area was known as 'Old Man Valley'.
